Where to Find the Best Starbucks in Prague
Craving Starbucks in Prague? I get it. When you’re logging 14,000 steps a day in a foreign land, sometimes you just want a taste of home — a coffee you already know how to order, free wifi, and a place to sit down without feeling rushed.
Prague has an incredible café scene — and I’ve written about that elsewhere — but it also has more Starbucks per square kilometer than anywhere else in Europe. In fact, if you’re spending most of your time in Old Town or New Town (the main central areas), you’ll find them on nearly every corner. So you’ve got options when it comes to Starbucks in Prague.
The question is which ones are actually worth your time. This guide covers the five I’d point you to — including the best one for views, ones closest to the biggest sites, and the one that’s different from every other Starbucks you’ve been to. By the end of this guide, you’ll know exactly which ones to visit — and which one to head to depending on where you are in the city.

Table of Contents
ToggleStarbucks in Old Town – Best Near the Astronomical Clock

The first Starbucks on this list is right in Old Town Square directly across from the Astronomical Clock, making it an ideal spot to escape some of the fiercest tourist crowds.
Here’s how I discovered it: during my first weeks living in Prague, I was exploring the city on foot and got caught outside the clock right as it was approaching the hour. If you’ve been to Old Town Square, you know what happens next — the crowds pack in tight and it gets a little chaotic. I ducked into this Starbucks, and it was the perfect place to take a beat.
The layout is two levels. The ground floor is pretty small with limited seating, so I recommend heading upstairs — there’s more room up there, and you get some nice views of the clock from the windows. It’s not the most atmospheric Starbucks on this list, but the location makes it one of the most useful.
One bonus: when I visited, they had the Prague Starbucks mug in stock — so if you’re a collector, this is a good place to grab one.
Starbucks in Wenceslas Square — Best Near the National Museum

This Starbucks sits right near the National Museum on Václavské náměstí — Wenceslas Square — making it a good stop if you’ve just spent a few hours museum-hopping and need to sit down and decompress.
But honestly, that’s not why I kept coming back. I visited multiple times, and it had nothing to do with the museum. This is simply one of the best Starbucks in Prague for studying or getting work done.
The upper floor is spacious, quiet, and easy to settle into for a few hours. Outlets are never hard to find, the wifi is reliable, and the noise level stays low enough that you can actually focus. It never felt like anyone was rushing you out either, which if you’ve ever tried to work from a café in a tourist-heavy city, you know isn’t a given.
Whether you’re a student, a remote worker, or a visitor searching for a refreshment after the museum, this is the one I’d send you to.
Starbucks Prague Castle — Best for Castle Visitors

If you’re spending a day at Prague Castle — and you should, it’s one of the most impressive sites in the city — this Starbucks is right there to save you when you need a break.
Prague Castle is massive. The grounds take hours to explore properly, and by the time you’ve walked the courtyards, the cathedral, and everything in between, you’re going to want somewhere to sit down with a coffee. This is that place.
I haven’t been inside this one personally, but based on everything I know about the castle crowds, I’d recommend this one if you tour the Castle.
Starbucks Ke Hradu — Best Starbucks View in Prague

Yes, this one is also near Prague Castle — but it earns its own spot on this list for a completely different reason: the view is unmatched.
Perched near Hradčanské náměstí at the top of the hill, the panorama over the city is simply stunning. Reviewers consistently call it one of the most beautiful Starbucks locations in the world, and it’s hard to argue when you’re looking out over Prague’s rooftops and spires.
The layout has two levels — order on the ground floor, then head downstairs and out to the back patio where the outdoor terrace seating is. That’s where the magic happens. It’s also worth coming back at night when the city lights up — a completely different experience.
One tip: come early if you want to beat the crowds. It’s well known enough at this point that it fills up, especially in peak season.
Starbucks Reserve Prague — Best Overall

I saved the best for last, and this one is my personal favorite Starbucks in all of Prague.
If you’ve never been to a Reserve Starbucks before, the concept is worth understanding before you walk in. It’s a step above your standard location — more elevated atmosphere, a different menu with specialty drinks you won’t find anywhere else, and an overall vibe that feels a lot less like a quick caffeine stop and more like a premium experience.
It’s all on one level, which is a nice change from the stair-climbing at some of the other locations on this list. There’s plenty of space to spread out, and I never had trouble finding a seat — even on the days I came in with my laptop and stayed for hours working on my thesis.
On the menu front, the Reserve has specialty drinks that rotate and differ from a standard Starbucks. One I’d specifically recommend trying: the reserve cold brew lemon sour. It sounds unusual, and it is — but if you’re an espresso fan or someone who likes interesting flavor combinations, it’s worth ordering at least once.
They also carry Reserve mugs here, so if you’re a collector, this is the spot to check for those.
One last thing — this Starbucks happens to be right near the Franciscan Garden, which I cover in my Prague for Free series. My recommendation: get your coffee here, enjoy the atmosphere, then head over to the garden for an escape from the city crowds. It’s a perfect pairing.
FAQ
How many Starbucks are there in Prague?
Prague has more Starbucks per square kilometer than anywhere else in Europe, so you’re never far from one. The exact number changes as new locations open, so for the most current list check the Starbucks Czech Republic store locator.
Can you use the Starbucks app in Prague?
Unfortunately, no — and as someone who was addicted to collecting stars back in the US, this one stung a little. The Starbucks app is region-locked, meaning your US account won’t work in the Czech Republic. No ordering ahead, no star collecting on your trip. I even tried downloading the Czech Starbucks app at one point and could never get it to work either. Europe tends to prioritize the in-person experience over digital ordering, so you’ll be placing your order at the counter in the Starbucks here. Not the end of the world, but good to know before you go.
Where can I find the Prague Starbucks mug?
If you’re a Starbucks mug collector, you’re in luck — Prague has its own. From what I’ve seen, all five locations in this guide have carried them at some point, so your chances are good at any of them. That said, availability does change, so if tracking one down is a priority, check a couple of spots rather than counting on just one.
Final Thoughts

Before you go, a couple of last things I should mention. This is not a comprehensive list of every Starbucks in Prague — far from it. I narrowed it down to five based on my personal experience and proximity to some of the most popular spots in the city. But if your hotel is in Prague 3 or you find yourself somewhere not covered in this guide, don’t worry. Just open Google Maps and search Starbucks — they are everywhere. I still remember when I first moved to Prague and went looking for one. The amount of options near me was overwhelming. I ended up going to one in a mall and discovered there were actually two Starbucks in that mall alone. Starbucks homesickness is not a problem you’ll have in this city.
As for what to expect inside, Prague Starbucks run pretty much the same as in the US — wifi was reliable at every location I visited. One thing that is a little different: the bathroom situation. When you make a purchase, your receipt will include a four-digit code that’s how you get into the bathroom. Hold onto it. If you accidentally toss your receipt, just ask someone behind the counter and they’ll help you out — it’s just a system to keep the bathrooms for paying customers.
While Starbucks in Prague is a solid option — and honestly worth experimenting with since the menu has some twists you won’t find back in the states — I highly recommend checking out some cafes beyond Starbucks during your visit. The city has an amazing café scene, and I’ve written a whole guide on my favorites that you can read here.
